COVID-19: DG democracy and Human Dignity response
At a time when all our member states are facing an unprecedented health crisis, the Directorate General of Democracy, like the rest of the Organisation, has decided to continue its efforts to implement its programme of activities while adapting it to the current conditions in Europe and seeking new opportunities to help member states meet the challenges posed by the current crisis and find remedies for its consequences.
Through this page, the Directorate General for Democracy shares its most relevant tools and resources on the problems generated by the health crisis, while devoting a special place to the activities, events , political positions of our intergovernmental and expert committees, and to European and national good practices.
The range of our standards and tools combined with the contributions of networks of national experts and other partners will provide governments and citizens with useful responses to overcome this difficult period and maintain the democratic fabric of our societies while trying to mitigate the social consequences of the crisis.
