The Centre of Expertise for Local Government Reform had a number of meetings with the the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure, local authorities and experts to impulse identification of the areas and communities for IMC pilots. A field visit to Gori, Shida Kartli region, was conducted to identify concret prospective areas of common IMC interest with heads of 5 municipalities.

With regard to LFB, the ongoing activities and dissimenation of LFB toolkit at the regional or even national level was discussed. It was agreed that, after discussing with the Ministry of Finance of Georgia and local authorities from LFB pilots, the MRDI would suggest the date for the reporting LFB workshop.

The events were organized as a part of the programme "Strengthening institutional frameworks for local governance in the Eastern Partnership countries" under the Programmatic Cooperation Framework (PCF) for 2015-2017 funded by the European Union and cofunded by the Council of Europe.
