Regional seminars regarding implementation of the new Law on employees in autonomous provinces and local self-government Within the Joint EU/CoE Programme “Human Resources Management in Local Self-Government” series of seminars were organized in July throughout Serbia by the Standing Conference of Towns and Municipalities for local officials, including presidents of the municipalities, mayors, members of municipal/city councils, presidents of assemblies, and main decision makers.

The main beneficiaries of the project are the Ministry of Public Administration and Local Self-Government and Standing Conference of Tows and Municipalities. There were 204 participants from 112 cities/municipalities from the whole Republic of Serbia. Seminars were organized in Nis, Kragujevac, Cajetina, Novi Sad, Subotica and Belgrade from 19 to 29 July 2016

The new Law on employees in autonomous provinces and local self-government and upcoming reforms that local self-government units have to implement at local level in the field of human resource management were presented to the newly elected officials. The Programme’s activities which will provide support to municipalities regarding the implementation of the legal requirements were presented as well.
