Alan Boyle is Emeritus Professor of Public International Law at the University of Edinburgh School of Law. He is also a barrister and practises international law from Essex Court Chambers, London. He has appeared before the ICJ, the ITLOS and in several PCA arbitrations on behalf of numerous governments. He specialises in international environmental law and law of the sea.
