Der Europarat arbeitet für Sie. Wir möchten die Rolle, die Normen und die Arbeit des Europarates in seinen Mitgliedsstaaten sichtbarer machen und so zeigen, wie infolge des Beitritts zum Europarat besondere Ergebnisse und Veränderungen erreicht werden konnten. Wir wollen durch vielfältige Veranstaltungen und Initiativen unterstreichen, wie die Tätigkeit des Europarates dazu beigetragen hat, dass die Menschen in ihrem Alltag von Verbesserungen profitieren und ihre Grundrechte besser wahrnehmen können.

Sei es der Einfluss der Europäischen Menschenrechtskonvention auf innerstaatlicher Ebene oder die Tätigkeit des Europarates auf zahlreichen Gebieten, etwa die Abschaffung der Todesstrafe, die Sicherung der Meinungsäußerungs- und Pressefreiheit oder der Kampf gegen Gewalt im Netz und gegen technologiegestützte Gewalt gegen Frauen mithilfe der Istanbul-Konvention und der Budapest-Konvention gegen Computerkriminalität – der Europarat hat seit 1949 viel erreicht.
