On 17-18 September 2026, Aleksandra Oszmiańska-Pagett, chair of the Committee of Experts of the European Charter for Regional or Minority Languages and member of the Advisory Committee on the Framework Convention for the Protection of National Minorities participated at a High-Level Expert Meeting on Cooperation between Regional Human Rights Mechanisms and the UN for the Effective Protection of Persons Belonging to Minorities, organised by the Geneva Academy of International Humanitarian Law and Human Rights and the UN Special Rapporteur on minority issues, Professor Nicolas Levrat, in Geneva. 

Aleksandra Oszmiańska-Pagett welcomed the opportunity to exchange with representatives of African, Arab, Asian, Inter-American and European human rights systems, the OSCE and the UN, as well as academia, and expressed support for similar initiatives strengthening co-operation among regional mechanisms and with the UN.
