On the occasion of the international democracy day, the city of Falun organised an event in connection with the Forum for the Future of Democracy. Participants discussed how to make active citizenship and participatory democracy more of an everyday reality at the local, national, European and global level. The meeting was an opportunity to present the Council of Europe Guidelines for civil participation in political decision-making.
