This is a presentation of tools for searching and indexing used in the Council of Europe.
WebCAT: union catalogue
WebCAT is the online catalogue of the Central Archives, and of some libraries and information centres of the Council of Europe. It contains several thousands of bibliographic data Council of Europe documents and publications since 1949 which some provide links to full texts.

ArchivalWare: electronic archives
Access point to the digital collections of the Central Archives, including audio recordings and image files, and an increasing collection of external documents. ArchivalWare can be accessed via WebCAT or directly.

WebCAT - Manual for cataloguing [fr]
This manual presents the Council of Europe cataloguing rules. They are based on the cataloguing rules AACR2 (Anglo-American Cataloguing Rules, 2nd edition) and the MARC 21 standard (MAchine-Readable Cataloging, 21st century) for computerised cataloguing. The manual is currently available only in French.
