Training course
for trainers in human rights education
38 young trainers
and youth workers from 30 countries meet from 7-14 February for
the ‘Training of Trainers in Human Rights Education for young
people’ at the European Youth Centre Budapest. The Training
seminar was preceded by a seven month long e-learning phase.
During the 8 day seminar participants will develop their
competences in human rights education, intercultural learning,
and promoting through education the charter on democratic
citizenship and human rights education.
Following this seminar all trainers and youth workers of the
course will implement local and/or national training initiatives

Platform of Youth Centres

The European Steering Committee on Youth
developed a project to promote the European
Youth Centres of the Council of Europe as
standard-setting instruments and examples of
good practice for youth policy.
This project aims at knowledge sharing and
networking among youth centres across
Europe. It consists of two main activities:
• a Council of Europe Quality Label for
Youth Centres, to be awarded to youth
centres that meet the standard; and
• an annual meeting of a European
Platform of Youth Centres to ensure
networking among centres recognised with the
label and those aspiring to its acquisition.
