____________________________________________________________

CONTEXT

The workshop will explore the different aspects, challenges and advantages of plurilingualism represented by the plurality of community languages spoken in Europe, and the areas of conflict between a virtually monolingual education system and the reality of plurilingual classrooms.

It will stimulate the awareness of the resource represented by the languages and cultures across Europe, plurilingualism and diversity in education for democratic citizenship and social cohesion. Examples of good practice will be presented and possible transfer into other settings discussed.
