Greece was one of the first countries to ratify the Convention which became domestic law in 1998. The aim of this meeting is the exploration of the impact of the Convention on Greek legislation concerning biomedical matters as well as the future challenges. The opening lecture will be delivered by Professor E. Roucounas, Member of the Academy of Athens. This will be followed by 4 sessions on consent, on genetics, on embryo research and on clinical trials, during which distinguished speakers from the biomedical and the legal field will make a short presentation and a critical approach of the relevant issues.
