Local authorities from all Ukrainian regions took part in the Contest “Best Practices of Local Self-Government” in 2016. Final Conference and Award Ceremony of the Contest 2016 will take place on 12 December in the Club of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.

Current Contest is the fifth one in Ukraine. It was organised by the Ministry of Regional Development, Construction and Municipal Economy of Ukraine with support of the Council of Europe Programme “Decentralisation and territorial consolidation in Ukraine”. The best practices were collected and selected on the following topics: “Promoting economic activity, job creation”, “Amalgamation of communities”, “Centres of administrative services”.
