On 19-20 June 2017, a study visit “Freedom of expression and rights of journalists and other media professionals in the converged media environment” of Volodymyr Cherniei, Rector of National Academy of Internal Affairs and Viacheslav Shtuchnyi, Advisor to the Rector of the National Academy of Internal Affairs was held in the framework of the Council of Europe Project "Strengthening Freedom and Media and Establishing a Public Broadcasting System in Ukraine". In the course of the study visit, the participants attended the Colloquium on the role of media actors in confronting terrorism, as well as a number of working meetings, including those with Regis Brillat, Special Advisor of the Secretary General of the Council of Europe for Ukraine, Patrick Penninckx, Head of the Information Society Department, and Dmytro Kuleba, Permanent Representative of Ukraine in the Council of Europe. During the meetings the issues of cooperation between the Council of Europe and the National Academy of Internal Affairs were discussed, primarily the sphere of protection of professional activity of journalists. #safetyinua
