3 years of decentralisation reform in Ukraine: Government-regional and local media dialogue

Last Friday, on 31 March, on the occasion of the 3 years after adoption of the “Concept of the Reform of Self-Government and Territorial Organisation of Power in Ukraine” with the support of the Council of Europe Programme “Decentralisation and Territorial Consolidation in Ukraine” the meeting of Prime-Minister Volodymyr HROYSMAN with regional media representatives took place. In the event called “Decentralisation. Success story. News tasks” more than 120 media representatives from various regions of Ukraine participated. The members of the Cabinet of Ministers – Vice-Prime-Minister – Minister of Regional Development Hennadiy ZUBKO, acting Minster of Healthcare Uliana SUPRUN, Minister of Education and Science Lilia HRYNEVYCH, Minister of Social Policy Andriy REVA – presented to intermediary results of the reform implementation, further Governmental plans, specifically related to sectoral decentralisation.

The event was co-organised by the Council of Europe Programme “Decentralisation and Territorial Consolidation in Ukraine” in partnership with the Swiss-Ukrainian Decentralisation Support Project DESPRO.
