Back Deputy Secretary General meets with Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs of San Marino

The Deputy Secretary General met with Mr Pasquale Valentini, Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of San Marino and exchanged views on the on-going co-operation between the country and the Council of Europe. Mrs Battaini-Dragoni congratulated the Minister on the 25th anniversary of the country's accession to the Council of Europe and thanked him for the support and the positive contribution of San Marino to the work of the organisation in areas such as intercultural dialogue. She also welcomed the improvements in San Marino with regard to the fight against money laundering, following the last Moneyval evaluation report as well as the progress in the fight against discrimination and racism, following the ECRI evaluation report.

The Deputy Secretary encouraged San Marino to sign the Convention on preventing and combating violence against women and domestic violence and to ratify the Protocol 16 of the ECHR and the Criminal Law Convention on Corruption.
