Back 1st Global Forum on Enforcement

Strasbourg ,

“The Deputy Secretary General, Gabriella Battaini-Dragoni, at the opening of the 1st Global Forum on Enforcement: the Efficiency of Civil Enforcement Proceedings in Europe, organised by the International Union of Judicial Officers (UIHJ) in co-operation with the CEPEJ.

"You can have the best court decision, rendered within a reasonable time by independent, impartial judges but if this decision is not enforced, the guarantees of a fair trial set out in Article 6 of the European Convention on Human Rights will not have been respected,” said Ms Battaini-Dragoni, emphasising the need to enforce decisions handed down by domestic courts no less than ones given by international courts.”
