Denis Bribosia was born in Huy (Belgium) in 1965. He started his career at the Brussels Bar Association, before taking part in a number of missions to protect human rights in Asia and Europe. He joined the Council of Europe in 2000, where he has held various positions, including Secretary of the ad hoc Committee on the legal aspects of territorial asylum and refugees (CAHAR) and Special Representative of the Secretary General in Azerbaijan. Since 2008, he has been working in the Secretariat of the Committee of Ministers.
