On 6 March 2026, the MEDICRIME Convention was presented at the EMVS Forum in Brussels (Belgium). Organised by the European Medicines Verification Organisation (EMVO) in partnership with the National Medicines Verification Organisations (NMVOs), the event brought together a diverse range of key stakeholders from the pharmaceutical supply chain, regulatory and law-enforcement authorities, international organisations and technology innovators to address the growing challenges of pharmaceutical crime and explore ways to safeguard the integrity of the supply chain.
This participation marked an important milestone in the collaboration between the MEDICRIME Committee and EMVO, following the granting of observer status to EMVO in December 2025.
Throughout the discussions, the MEDICRIME Convention was recognised as a pivotal instrument in the global fight against falsified medical products, reinforcing the need for coordinated action and shared standards to protect public health.
