On 18- 19 and 21-22 January 2021, two online coaching sessions on Dynamic Security were organised for managers of high (No. 1) and general security (Nos. 4 and 16) regime prisons in Azerbaijan.
The participants improved their professional competency and skills in theoretical and practical aspects of Dynamic Security such as the advantages of implementing dynamic security in prison, its added value in enhancing the security beyond strict application of prison rules and regulations, a model of positive relations between personnel and convicts and pro-social modelling, decision making; etc. The theoretical part was followed by case studies, preparation of professional activity worksheets and the Dynamic Security Action plan.
This activity was organised by the EU and Council of Europe Joint Project “Support to the Penitentiary Reform in Azerbaijan” (SPERA 2), which is designed to promote effective prison management, health care in prisons and assist the reintegration of ex-offenders.
