Description
The York Archaeological Trust (est. 1972) is a self-funded educational charity and a leading professional archaeological organisation with a reputation for delivering high quality investigation, research and public engagement for a broad range of clients and partners. The Trust also run 5 city-centre attractions in York including the JORVIK Viking Centre, and host one of the largest Viking Festivals in Europe. The JORVIK Viking Centre is a museum containing lifelike mannequins and life-size dioramas depicting life in the city during the Viking Age.
