RÉMIRI and LABRRI finalists for the 2022 Prize of Excellence of the Institute of Public Administration of Québec

The Réseau de municipalités en immigration et en relations interculturelles (RÉMIRI) du Québec and the Laboratory for Research on Intercultural Relations (LABRRI) of the University of Montréal have been selected as finalists for the 2022 Prize of Excellence by the Institute of Public Administration of Québec (IAPQ), specifically for the category of "scientific collaboration". RÉMIRI stood out for the quality of its application and for its unique mode of governance, which is based on close collaboration between professionals from the municipal sector and the research community (LABRRI).

Created in 2015, RÉMIRI is a network of expertise composed primarily of professionals working in the municipal sector. Its mission is to support and accompany municipal actors on issues related to immigration and intercultural relations. Its vision is based on an intercultural approach to promote inclusion and on a concerted approach to facilitate exchanges between network members. In 2021, RÉMIRI joined the Council of Europe Intercultural Cities programme as the first network of intercultural cities in the American continent.

This recognition underlines the importance of the collaboration between the network's members, and the various accomplishments since the creation of the network. The awards ceremony will take place on 24 November 2022 at the Quebec City Convention Centre. It will be filmed and broadcasted on the IAPQ Youtube channel.
