Freedom of Expression

Since 2022 the Police have collaborated with the Swedish Media Publishers’ Association within a specific project in the form of regionally organised dialogue meetings with representatives from the local newspapers, the local police, the municipality, and the Swedish Publishers’ Association. The aim was to increase knowledge and establish a structured cooperation with a crime prevention focus on the local level. Under the initiative, media publishers and police paired together in localities and specific geographical areas. Meetings were led in media facilities for a more open environment and are meant to create resilient liaisons. The project also implied training sessions on procedures in demonstrations, and the publications of lessons learned.
