The Estonian Association of Journalists is developing a dedicated reporting form that will enable journalists to report press freedom violations, including harassment, threats and potential SLAPP cases. The initiative aims to improve data collection and provide a clearer picture of challenges affecting journalists in Estonia, where no comprehensive monitoring mechanism previously existed.

The future reporting system is expected to support advocacy efforts and contribute to a more evidence-based approach to journalists’ safety and media freedom.
