The Evangelos Averof-Tositsa Foundation (est. 1987) is the legal entity to which the Averoff Museum of Neohellenic Art belongs.. It was established by the painter Evangelos Averof-Tositsa, with the main statutory goal of operating the Gallery, and is controlled by the Decentralized Administration of Epirus and Western Macedonia. The collection of the Averoff Museum of Neohellenic Art comprises representative works by the major Greek painters, printmakers and sculptors of the 19th and 20th century. The Museum’s collection is regarded as one of the most complete of this period.
