The OEI, within the framework of the collaboration established with the European Institute of Cultural Routes and the European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation, held the third Inter-institutional Meeting of the Euro-Ibero-American Cultural Routes and Itineraries Cooperation Programme. The meeting counted with the participation of representatives from the Spanish Ministry of Culture and Sport, the Latin America and the Caribbean International Foundation EULAC, the Spanish Agency for Development Cooperation (AECID, Hispania Nostra, Ibermuseos, the University of Zacatecas in Mexico, the International Council on Monuments and Sites (ICOMOS-Spain), and the Ibero-American and European Yuste Foundation.

The purpose of the meeting was to discuss activities implemented by the different partners during 2023 and delineate a cooperation plan for 2024.

This cooperation is carried out within the framework of the Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe Programme through the Enlarged Partial Agreement - that granted OEI the participatory status to its Governing Board in June 2021  - and the framework collaboration agreements that the IEO maintains with different institutions. In this sense, the initiative will be articulated hand in hand with relevant entities in this area that are already active in the field of cooperation, training and research, with the aim of strengthening, in the short and medium term, programmatic and technical synergies, connecting territories, groups and people who work in the field of Euro-Latin American cultural cooperation. At this occasion, the European Institute of Cultural Routes was represented by Mrs Carolina Clark, Project Officer, and by Mr. Eladio Fernandez Galiano, Special Advisor to the Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe Programme and Board member of the European Institute of Cultural Routes.
