- The Istanbul Bilgi University (est. 1996) is one of the first foundation universities of Turkey.
Santralİstanbul (est. 2007) is an arts and cultural complex consisting of the Santralİstanbul Museum of Energy (Enerji Müzesi - Santralİstanbul), with an interactive exhibition on electricity and power generation, and other entertainment and cultural facilities. It was the first power station of the Ottoman Empire (Silahtarağa Power Station), now a part of the campus of the Istanbul Bilgi University.
The santralistanbulMuseum of Energy is an Anchor Point of the European Route of Industrial Heritage.
