Descrizione: Governing body of the Valencian Autonomous Community.
The Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports is in charge of regional powers in the areas of culture and art, cultural heritage and museums, education and sports.
The distinctive elements of the Valltorta-Gassulla Cultural Park are the Levantine rock paintings, rural dry-stone architecture, notable historical buildings, a varied biological environment, and the Valltorta Museum and the Ecomuseum of Bicorp, devoted to rock art (www.prehistour.eu/carp-guide/valtorta--gasulla).
The paintings at La Sarga (Alcoy, Alicante) belong to the three cycles of post-Palaeolithic rock art in the Mediterranean Basin, and therefore comprise a compendium of artistic expression in the Neolithic and Copper Age (http://www.prehistour.eu/carp-guide/alacant-mountain-cultural-park-la-sarga).
