- Descrizione
- The shoe last Fagus Factory in Alfeld is a 10-building complex designed at the beginning of the 20th century by Walter Gropius and Adolf Meyer. The factory is still operation and its former warehouse has been turned into an exhibition on past and present of the industrial plant.
The Association of Friends and Sponsors of the Fagus Factory World Heritage Site (est. 2011) was founded by committed friends of the factory and company employees. The purpose of the Association is the promotion of cultural and tourist activities as well as the intangible and material support for the development of the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Fagus Factory.
The Fagus Factory in Alfeld is an Anchor Point of the European Route of Industrial Heritage.
