Hajnalka Juhász is the Vice-President of the Foreign Affairs Committee and the member of the Hungarian National Assembly. She is also member of the Hungarian delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) as a politician from the Christian Democratic Peoples Party. She holds a juris doctor degree from the Károli Gáspár University of the Reformed Church and an LLM in Public International Law from the University of Leicester. She has held different positions within the Hungarian Ministry of Justice and has served as a seconded national expert at the Council of Europe Secretariat of the European Charter for Regional or Minority Languages. She is currently also carrying out a PhD research regarding the protecting of the rights of national minorities in the practice of the CoE. She has formerly been the regional vice-president of the Young Christian Democratic Alliance in Hungary as the first women vice-president in the Alliance. Ms Juhász has also been closely involved with the Hungary Helps initiative, as a humanitarian aid programme focusing on persecuted Christians in the Middle East.
