Hauwa Ibrahim is the President of The Peace Institute— an International Human Rights and Sharia Law Lawyer with considerable academic and government experience. Currently working on multidisciplinary and collaborative exploration of root causes of terrorism, radicalization of youth and building bridges of cooperation between religious and non-religious communities. She recently led an initiative focused on using education to give alternative to the recruitment of children to Boko Haram and other extremist groups. Specifically, the initiative included a series of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics (STEAM) camps for children in Northern Nigeria. Along with five of her students from University of Rome and a Research Scientist from, Wellesley College, USA, reaching lives of over 1,200 students in just five weeks (July 17thth-August 25th2019).
