12 Months, 1 Question: April 2021

Environmental action at the local level has proved extremely successful in addressing some aspects of the environmental problems which are affecting humanity on a global scale.

Local action offers people the opportunity to deal with climate change from their direct experiences: implementing local policies for the environment, creating sustainable and green urban planning, creating conditions for the circular economy or defending biodiversity. Furthermore, it is on the local scale where the issues of environmentally conscious consumption and individual actions for the environment can be addressed. In April we will be discovering the role and importance of local governments, citizens, civil society groups and non-governmental organisations in the creation of greener and more sustainable future.
