On 30 and 31 July 2025, a delegation of the Venice Commission conducted a visit to Lima, Peru, to prepare the Opinion on the proposed reforms of the Public Prosecutor’s Office of Peru. This Opinion was requested by the Prosecutor General of Peru on 11 March 2025.

The Venice Commission delegation met with the Prosecutor General, the Congress, the Constitutional Court, the Supreme Court, as well as representatives of international organisations and civil society organisations.

The draft Opinion will be submitted to the 144th Plenary Session of the Venice Commission on 9-10 October 2025 for its adoption.
