On 11 March 2025, the House of Lords Constitution Committee published a call, inviting interested organisations and individual persons, to submit written evidence to the inquiry it is conducting into the state of the rule of law in the United Kingdom. In this context, the Venice Commission is preparing an Urgent Submission to be issued before the deadline for written evidence submissions on 15 April 2025.
The urgent submission will be submitted for endorsement at the 143rd Plenary Session of the Venice Commission (Venice, 13-14 June 2025).
