By letter dated 21 April 2025, the President of the General Council of the Judiciary of Spain, Ms Isabel Perelló Doménech, has requested an opinion of the Venice Commission on the manner of election of the judicial members of the General Council of the Judiciary. The opinion is scheduled for discussion and adoption at the 144th Plenary Session of the Venice Commission.
