On 24 September 2025, the Commission made public an Urgent Opinion on the draft amendments to the Constitution of the Slovak Republic. The urgent opinion was prepared upon the request by the Monitoring Committee of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe dated 23 June 2025.
The urgent opinion will be submitted to the Commission for endorsement at its 144th Plenary Session (Venice, 9-10 October 2025).
