On Wednesday 3 June 2026, Ms Marta Cartabia, President of the European Commission for Democracy through Law (Venice Commission of the Council of Europe), presented the 2025 Annual Report of the Commission to the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe.

This report highlights the main activities carried out in 2025, including the opinions adopted, the topics addressed, a statistical overview, and the impact of the Commission’s work in promoting the rule of law, democracy and human rights in member and observer States.
