By letter dated 2 March 2026, Mr Włodzimierz Czarzasty, Marshal of the Sejm of Poland, requested an Opinion of the Venice Commission on the draft law “on reinstating the right to a fair trial and hearing the case without undue delay”, proposed by the President of the Republic.

The draft opinion is scheduled for discussion and adoption at the 147th Plenary Session of the Venice Commission (12-13 June 2026).
