By letters dated 6 March and 24 April 2025, respectively, the President of the Monitoring Committee of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, Ms Zanda Kalniņa-Lukaše, and the Minister of Justice of Poland, Mr Adam Bodnar, requested an Opinion from the Venice Commission on the draft law concerning the status of judges appointed or promoted between 2018 and 2025 and other related matters.

The draft opinion will be submitted for adoption at the 143rd Plenary Session of the Commission (online, 13-14 June 2025).
