Participation of the Venice Commission of the Council of Europe in the first meeting of the Drafting group on the protection of the right to vote and to stand for election under the ECHR (CDDH-VOTE)

Ms Renata Deskoska, Vice-President of the Venice Commission of the Council of Europe and member in respect of North Macedonia, participated in the first meeting of the Drafting group on the protection of the right to vote and to stand for election under the ECHR (CDDH-VOTE). The meeting took place on 21-23 September 2026 in Strasbourg.

This event was organised by the Steering Committee for Human Rights (CDDH). Ms Deskoska made a formal intervention on “The Right to Vote and to Stand for Election in the Light of the Venice Commission Standards”.
