On 24-25 April 2025, the Constitutional Court of Latvia organised an international Conference on “The role of Constitutional Courts in ensuring the resilience of common European values in face of contemporary challenges”. Ms Veronika Bílková, Vice-President of the Venice Commission made introductory remarks and chaired the discussions in the first panel on “Challenges to democracy, the rule of law and pluralism”.
The conference was held within the framework of the project “Support to development of the constitutional justice in Ukraine”, implemented within Phase III of the European Union and Council of Europe Joint Programme “Partnership for Good Governance”.
