On 25 August 2025, a delegation of the Venice Commission of the Council of Europe held a series of online meetings in preparation of the follow-up opinion to the opinions concerning amendments to the Law on the Prosecutorial Council. This follow-up opinion was requested by the Minister of Justice of Kosovo.  The delegation held discussions with representatives of the Ministry of Justice, the Chairperson of the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council, the Acting State Prosecutor, members of the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council and the State Prosecutor’s Office, civil society organisations, and international partners. The draft Opinion will be submitted for adoption at the 144th Plenary Session of the Venice Commission on 9-10 October 2025.
