The President of the Council of Europe’s Venice Commission, Ms Claire Bazy Malaurie, had meetings with the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Chairpersons of the Constitutional and Supreme Courts, as well as the Deputy Prosecutor General of Kazakhstan during her visit to Kazakhstan on 10-12 September 2025. She participated as a speaker in the International Forum of Constitutional Justice: "Peace and the Future through Law" organised by the Constitutional Court of Kazakhstan on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Other events related to the Venice Commission’s work were also organised in her presence by the Sorbonne-Kazakhstan Institute and Maqsut Narikbayev University.
