By letter dated 23 June 2025, the President of the Committee on the Honouring of Obligations and Commitments by Member States (Monitoring Committee) of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, requested an opinion of the Venice Commission of the Council of Europe on the Hungarian draft law on "transparency of public life" and other legislative texts relating to "foreign influence". The draft opinion is scheduled for discussion and adoption at the 144th Plenary Session of the Venice Commission.
