Mr Ben Vermeulen, expert and former member of the Venice Commission in respect of the Netherlands, participated online in the meeting of the Monitoring Committee of the Parliamentary Assembly, which took place in Strasbourg on 2 October 2024, during the 4th Part of the Ordinary Session of the Parliamentary Assembly.
An exchange of views took place on recent developments in the country and on the follow-up of the Venice Commission’s Opinion on the constitutional amendments adopted by the Hungarian parliament in December 2020.
