In the framework of the preparation of the draft follow-up opinion concerning the amendments of 13 June 2023 to the Organic Law of Georgia “On Common Courts”, the rapporteurs of the Venice Commission held online consultations with the Deputy Chairman of the Faction “Georgian Dream”, the Chairman of the Legal Issues Committee and the Chairman of the Human Rights and Integration Committee of the Parliament of Georgia, the MPs of the parliamentary opposition, the representatives of the civil society organisations and the international community present in Georgia.

The draft opinion will be submitted for adoption at the 136th Plenary Session of the Venice Commission (6-7 October 2023).
