By letter of 19 May 2023 the Minister of Justice of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan requested an opinion of the Venice Commission on the compatibility of the draft law on the mass media with relevant international standards and best practices.

The Venice Commission will prepare the draft opinion for adoption at the 136th Plenary Session (6-7 October 2023).
