In the framework of the preparation of the follow-up opinion to four latest opinions concerning the Organic Law on Common Courts of Georgia, the Venice Commission’s delegation met online with the Chairman of the Legal Issues Committee of the Parliament, the representatives of the Parliamentary Majority and the Parliamentary Opposition, as well as the representatives of the international community.

The draft opinion will be submitted for adoption by the Venice Commission at its March 2023 plenary session (Venice, 10-11 March 2023). It is prepared under the Quick Response Mechanism (QRM), in the framework of the EU/CoE joint programme Partnership for Good Governance, funded by the European Union and the Council of Europe and implemented by the Council of Europe.
