In the framework of the preparation of the Urgent opinion on the Laws on Counterintelligence and External Intelligence Activity and on the Intelligence and Security Service of the Republic of Moldova, a delegation of the Venice Commission met (online) with representatives of the following interlocutors:

• the Security and Intelligence Service,
• the Sub-Committee for the exercise of parliamentary control over the work of the Intelligence and Security,
• the parliamentary majority and opposition,
• the office of the President of the Republic,
• the Ministry of Defence,
• the Minister of Justice,
• the Ombudsman,
• the Bar Association,
• the National Centre for Personal Data Protection,
• the civil society and private sector.

The urgent opinion will be submitted for endorsement at the 134th Plenary Session, 10-11 March 2023.
