By letter of 10 October 2022 the Chairperson of the Georgian Parliament Mr Shalva Papuashvili requested a joint opinion by the Venice Commission and the OSCE/ODIHR on draft amendments to the Election Code of Georgia. The relevant draft opinion will be submitted for adoption at the 133rd Plenary Session on 16-17 December 2022. This opinion will be prepared under the Quick Response Mechanism (QRM), in the framework of the EU/CoE joint programme Partnership for Good Governance, funded by the European Union and the Council of Europe and implemented by the Council of Europe.
