By letter dated 23 September 2021, the Deputy Speaker of the Senate of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Mr Askar Shakirov, requested an opinion of the Venice Commission on the draft Law "On the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Republic of Kazakhstan" and the three accompanying draft bills. The opinion will be delivered for discussion and adoption at the 129th Plenary session (December 2021).
